A Message To Humanity From A Child.

Mar 14, 2019

A French writer summarised the situation very easily: generation hangover. We are not Generation Y or X. Even though we can’t forget we have to think differently, nobody believes anymore in humanity.

Yes nobody believes anymore in humanity. There are too many notes that sound weird. Nobody likes that music genre anymore. And that’s why the final weird note called WW2 was the catalyst for a new humanity: love and space since the 1960s.

But for some strange reason, that weird note always comes back to haunt us. As if it was so weird we wondered how we could lose our balance with that sound. That note is easy to spot; it’s called a weird allusion.

Now it’s true here on Earth everything is weird allusions. And maybe we could investigate that weird note that comes back over and over again. We will call that note the “splash” note.

Why Would You Call It “Splash”?

When I think of the word splash, one thing comes to mind: a basketball that ends up where it belongs without touching the rim. Nothing but net. Pure as silk.

Then that “splash” note could just be something that’s really dirty. So dirty that no one will be able to find the antidote. Even storytellers are lost for words.

Now that “splash” note could just be this one: let the guilty hang! RATM would say it’s like a boomerang. But that makes sense: let the guilty hang!

Some people will say that guilt is close to shame. And it will keep your dignity yearning. As if you were ashamed of those desires like Omar Khayyam.

So that splash note is easily recognisable: it feels like someone threw a heavy stone in the lake of your brain! Now that is a nice image and I know I’m close of Jim Morrison that way.

Is It Impossible Or Improbable?

One might approach life in a probabilistic manner. And there’s a powerful concept in statistics called ergodicity. I’m not talking about a city but a mathematical concept. Ergodicity is a concept that states that you can safely predict the future based on small samples.

For example, once I received anonymous letters from a cousin. I summoned my girlfriend and a friend to talk about it. My friend took a look at the letters and found a way to make the best of this situation. What I mean is that he stole my thunder even when the letters were addressed to me.

What some French humorists remind us is that this is only the beginning. Life is always like that: people will make the best of a situation even if it means they deny your singularity.

This situation kind of reproduced in the future. But presented this way, it seems less dirty: make the best of the situation before you go insane!

Take Another Shot Of Ergodicity!

People lost faith in humanity because history is filled with dirty notes that historians have a hard time dignifying. Take for example Brazil who was the state with the most slaves for the last 200 years. Take for example the Maya prophecy that some people exploited to make believe it was the end of the world as we know it.

This could leave some people vulnerable; they would shake like incurable. And you know a lot of people can’t remember what we’re trying to forget.

I wonder what the next teenager crisis will produce. In the 1930s we had the “Années Folles”. And suddenly we had WW2. Some people advised me to be bold when writing that blog. I shouldn’t hedge because otherwise it means I won’t be committed.

Sometimes it doesn’t bother me going out in the rain without an umbrella. But sometimes I’m just tired of those 300 days of rain a year.

Like A Stone In A Lake.

When I think of that dirty note who is responsible for our delay in the big battle for space, I think I found the right words: it’s as if someone threw a stone in the lake of your brain. You know a lot of people used to look for the grail.

The Holy Grail is a treasure that serves as an important motif in Arthurian literature. Different traditions describe it as a cup, dish or stone with miraculous powers that provide happiness, eternal youth or sustenance in infinite abundance, often in the custody of the Fisher King. The term “holy grail” is often used to denote an elusive object or goal that is sought after for its great significance.

Now I just think those stones in our lakes can make a beautiful picture afterwards. If we only could get over that sweet hangover: nothing beats life. Let’s not be afraid to die. If someone could define it precisely like I do.

If death is not coming back, then life must just be about coming back. Even if you just took a sip from the devil’s cup. Even if it was just a lemonade in a coffee shop.
